Hello, this is Michelle Sit. I am currently a Junior at Wellesley College and am here to document my experiences throughout ENGR160: Fundamentals of Engineering at Wellesley. Although I am a Psychology major, I'm hoping to study more engineering in the future at MIT. Last year, I enrolled in CS111 to test drive my interest in Computer Science. It has since revealed to be an imperfect match for my interests. As such, I am now trying out my interest in engineering and am enrolled in CS220 (Human-Computer Interaction) which I think is a much better fit. This past winter break, I took a Mechanical Engineering class at MIT called Designing for People which focused less on the mathematical and scientific approach to engineering and instead focused on product design and user experience. I thoroughly enjoyed that course so, this field appears to very interesting and I am very excited to be learning more about it. I hope ENGR160 will help provide a more comprehensive background of engineering and solidify my interest in engineering.
Interesting fact: I have 5 budgies at home and two cockatiels. I miss them very much.
Glad you're finding your way and that this class is a part of that :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you took a class at MIT! That's super cool.
